Hebert's Coffeehouse
Fresh Roasted Coffee
I was very excited about Hebert Coffeehouse after I left. For years now I've loved it when I had an excuse to be at LSU in the morning so I could enjoy top notch coffee at some of our successful coffee shops over on that side of town but I live in South East Baton Rouge. Well now there's Hebert Coffeehouse coming to us in April 2011. Fresh in-house roasted coffee, a relaxing beautiful atmosphere and a roaster placed in public view behind a bar. When they do their roasting the public can comfortably sit and watch the whole process and that's just too cool. If you go check out their website link below they have a really good story about how they learned the roasting process making their own coffee in Kazakhstan. They even have the story of their beginnings and the parts involved with building their homemade coffee roaster used in Kazakhstan.
The coffee is just excellent as I write this I'm enjoying my cup of their coffee of the day. It's done so well you don't need any cream or sugar to offset any sort of bitterness. In addition to regular coffee the offer espresso, frozen drinks, pasteries and some lunch offerings.
It's everything you'd want out of a coffee shop right down to comfortable chairs, nice atmosphere and free wi-fi. The location is perfect for anyone driving to-from the Woodlawn area or Prairieville off of Old Jefferson or Airline highway. I think we'll be seeing them in Baton Rouge for a really long time.
