I realize we're already in the Carnival season but I'm a little slow sometimes. The good news is I remembered to update the Mardi Gras section of Best Of Baton Rouge around a month ago. The bad news is that I forgot to post an editorial page that made it more obvious where you could find it. Anyhow.... See parade times, general description and I think I even have some pictures from Orion last year. Baton Rouge has a fun Mardi Gras which in my opinion has more of a family feel than New Orleans. You can also slip on down to 3rd Street where the bars put on a decent time if you want to drinks. No balcony flashing going on that I know of so don't get your hopes up too high for a New Orleans Mardi Gras experience. |
