Thoughts on restaurants that I've recently visited in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area. I go out to eat more than anyone else I know.
- A Little Trip around the World in Metro Baton Rouge - The past few days I've really enjoyed a stretch of good food around Baton Rouge. Romans, Ahuuas, Hunans, Latte E Miele, Masons Grill and South of Philly in 2 days.
- I Had Ruffino's Prime Rib Steak - A well known and loved Italian restaurant in Baton Rouge many people might not know has some of the best prime rib around. Excellent steaks are here for those who love the best in steak.
- Recent Visit To La Reyna Latin Restaurant - I was watching Anthony Bourdain eating at an exotic South American location and the food reminded me I haven't been to La Reyna in a while.
- Friday Restaurant Crawl - If two restaurants count as a crawl I suppose. Stopped by the new Enoteca Marcello's and headed over to the Chimes by LSU.
- Ahuuas Mexican Restaurant Keeps Getting Better - We visited this great Woodlawn area Mexican restaurant Saturday night. They had live music and a festive atmosphere.
- Mason's Grill Has Top 50 US Burger - The cajun shrimp burger got major street credit from the Food Network. Check it out.
- New Orleans Restaurants Come To Baton Rouge - Baton Rouge has really surged in size in the past few years. Great restaurants have reached out from the New Orleans area including Isabella's Pizzeria, The Bulldog Tavern and The Acme Oyster House.
- WOW Wingery In Gonzales - I recently ran down to Gonzales for a moment. Right off Interstate 10 there's a great new WOW Wingery cafe that's worth visiting.
- BJ's Brewhouse Is An Excellent New Restaurant & Bar - I've visited this place many times since it opened. Great handcrafted beers, pizzas, appetizers, service. An excellent addition to the Baton Rouge restaurant scene.
- Best Fried Seafood In Town At City Cafe - I had my second visit at the City Cafe and was very impressed with the seafood and service.
- Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro Has Great Atmosphere - We recently went out to dinner at this very colorful restaurant. This time around I really took notice to the cool and comfortable styling of their atmosphere. Everything about the layout of Cheesecake Bistro adds to the enjoyment of your visit.
- On The Half Shell For Great Oysters and Shrimp - Some friends and I recently went over to this great seafood restaurant to try out a special they were running. The boiled shrimp and charbroiled oysters were great
- Nagoya - I stopped in at this Japanese Buffet restaurant and had all the sushi, sashimi and crab legs I could handle.
- The Best Chirashi Lunch - Baton Rouge Sushi - So where's the best place to get a sushi lunch box in Baton Rouge? Here are the opinions from a regular sushi eater.
- Superior Grill Still Great Mexican - We recently had a party and had a great time drinking margaritas and eating awesome food in a friendly fun atmosphere.
- Zeeland Street Market - In the 10 years I've been going to visit them they're still serving the best plate lunches in town.
- Sunday Lunch At Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro - My wife and I enjoyed a mid-Sunday lunch at the always excellent Cheesecake bistro. Martinis, great food and of course cheesecake.
- Walk On's Finally Opens on Coursey - Baton Rouge's great LSU tradition comes to the South East side of town. Newly opened second Walk On's in town.
- Friday Afternoon At The Grape In Perkin's Rowe - We enjoyed a great Baton Rouge Summer evening of wine, food and shopping while at Perkin's Rowe.
- Primo's Steakhouse Mahogany Bar - I decided to visit Primo's one Thursday evening after work for a couple of drinks and dinner.
