The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair is operated by an all-volunteer Fair Board with the help of a number of dedicated volunteers. Monies raised by the Fair are used to fund youth-oriented Worthy Causes in the Greater Baton Rouge area since 1987.

From personal experience I find it to be a fun yearly event. It's well run at the State Fair Grounds right outside of Baton Rouge. Rides, live music, magic shows, games and fun for the whole family. It lasts 11 days so you're bound to find a day to check it out!
