The Earth Day celebration is a great event occuring annually downtown. It's one of the largest environmental festivals in the USA. For 2008 the celebration takes place April 20th in the Old State Capitol area.
Louisiana Earth Day highlights include the wetlands tent, recycling fair, earth market,international pavilion, natural health and healing, Louisiana and Native Americanculture, earth friendly habitat, agricultural exhibits and petting zoo, and nature and yourneighborhood.
There's also a huge slate of live entertainment including Geno Delafose, The Michael Foster Project and Wayne Toups. A great Sunday if you love live music.
