Krewe of Southdowns

This Mardi Gras tradition has been running for over 20 years in the Perkin's & Standford area right outside of LSU. Many of us know this as the "Southdowns" area.

This is a great yearly tradition that's fun for everyone. Their Mardi Gras ball is unique in that it's open to the public. It's presently held at the Baton Rouge River Center (formally the Centroplex) in downtown Baton Rouge. See their site for details.
