Somehow this week I came upon the fact that Thai Pepper existed so I decided today was the day to give it a shot. A quick glimpse online had mostly good reviews but some mixed but as most of us have learned you can't believe everything you read online. Thai Pepper from the outside looks like a fairly old building but walking in it has a very "at home" appeal to it. All wood walls, wood carved decordations on the walls and high dark colored wood ceilings with beams just reminded me of a cabin type setting. I was there right at 11am and was suprised by 11:15 there were a few dozen people inside.
The food was a buffet with around 25 items costing a whopping $7.35 with tax. It was extremely good given the price. I know people don't like hearing this but I'd love to see what they could put out for $9.99. The basil chicken I thought was excellent, the Yellow Curry was strange but tasty to me and the Pineapple Shrimp I could eat every day. I tried around half of what was offered due to being on a low carb diet but what I did try I liked very much and from the vibe I got off the food I didn't feel like I stretched my diet. To me it seems like Thai home cooking and I'm definitely going back again.
